Bisque is generally clay pottery that has been formed, then fired.  The only thing it needs is to be painted (by you!), glazed and fired (by us) in order to be finished. You could also use acrylic paint markers to paint it instead (and not fire it), but most choose to paint and fire their pieces.  We have over a thousand pieces of bisque for you to paint!

At The Pottery Vault, you can start with a lump of clay and be admiring your own unique creation in no time. We supply the clay, the pottery wheel or sheet rolling tools if you prefer, and then we fire your piece for you.  You can also choose a la carte options, such as using your kiln-ready clay and throwing it on one of our two wheels, and/or having us simply fire it for you. 

We support local artisans, and we’re proud to partner with a Lake Goodwin creator who supplies us with dozens of designs you can paint, assemble, and display in your home. Some are lit with LED lights, and others have interchangeable displays that make them flexible enough to show-off your skills through all four seasons.  

Some glass demands attention, but all stained glass is demanding. Take all the time you need to create a small, or large, stained glass work of art that would make the artists of Notre Dame take notice. Maybe more likely though, you’ll create something you can be proud of and that demonstrates just how impressive authentic stained glass is. 

If real stained glass is a bridge too far, try painted stained glass. It is faster, easier, more forgiving, and an excellent practice forum for eventually transitioning to those hours spent soldering, foiling, and grinding glass.

At our Candleworks, we are proud to offer a chance to make candles for a fraction of the price you might buy them for. Our owners were proud to operate one of the largest candle factories in the whole country during the 1950’s. Enjoy the chance to continue this tradition by choosing the scents and colors for your own unique candle.  

Use our painting booth and easel to paint your masterpiece.  We have all the supplies, including board canvas, stretched canvas, oil paint, gouache, watercolors, acrylic markers, and on and on.   Our booth even features a privacy curtain if you're not quite ready for center-stage!
